Budgeting and budgetary control:
- the budgeting environment;
- elements of a corporate plan;

Financial accounting:
- an introduction to financial accounting;
- accounting for cash and credit transactions;
- the corrections of errors and the detection of fraud;
- the preparation of financial statements;
- analysis and interpretation of financial statements.
Internal audit:
- purpose and scope of internal auditing;
- audit process;
- internal controls and type of audit;
- financial, compliance and operational audit;
- audit programmes and working papers;

Taxation:
- Gambian tax laws;

Project:
Students will be also required to complete a project. At
the end of the first two week module, a field trip will be
organised where the various project groups will collect data
for their project reports.
